Friends and family!

Well hello again! It looks as though Fidel and I wont be going to the thanksgiving game as long as we sell our tickets. So many members of my family are meeting at my parents for lunch that we want to try and be there. Hopefully something will work out. We want to make a fried turkey and fried pickles for the family. Hopefully they will enjoy it.

I finished making our family calendar for my families Christmas present. This year I decided to do a calendar of my mom's side of the family. Next year will be my dads side and then maybe one of Fidel's side. He has such a big family...that will take all year. It will be difficult to get pictures and dates of everyone, but I'll be excited to make one for them. They are all so kind to me and I really love them.

Some ladies from my school and I are talking about taking a ski trip over Spring Break. I have never been skiing and of course I would like to try it out. It would be a girl trip and I'm sure that would be fun! It would be with Debra a 4th grade teacher, Paige our wonderful LIFE teacher, and the Kelly the principal. Of course we all have to look at where to go and the cost.

Fidel just finished buying everything he needs to ride his bike during the Winter months. He loves cycling and I think he wishes it was a little easier to ride here. Our area is not a biking town and of course that makes it hard! On a personal note I haven't been working out much. I need to get back in it. Debra and I usually go to some aerobic classes together but when things get busy at school the last thing you want to do is go to the gym.

On Friday Fidel and I went to Rachel's baby shower (she is a co worker of Fidel and her and her husband live in our neighborhood). It was very nice and I'm so excited for them. They will make wonderful parents! Then we went out with our very dear friends Angie and Ben. We always have a good time with them. They are also expecting and I can't wait to meet the new baby!

On December 16th is Fidel's Christmas program and mine is on December 18th. This is always a busy time of year for music teachers. I love the fact that we get so long off for Thanksgiving. Hopefully it will give me some extra energy to finish out the semester!

Thanks for stopping by!

This week, by Kandra

Well we are very excited, since Thanksgiving is coming up AND that means no school. It looks like I wont have to teach at all next week since I will be going with the Garland Children's Chorus to their tour of the University of North Texas. So that means only 3 more days of teaching before I get a well deserved and much wanted break! Fidel and I at one time had plans to go camping with his brother and sister. Unfortunately that fell through. It is just so hard to get together when so many things are going on and since we live SOO far away from one another.

We sold our cowboy tickets for the San Fransisco game this Sunday, but we are looking forward to the game next week on Thanksgiving. The Thanksgiving games are always so fun because they have a good half time show. Usually someone really famous! This is my first Thanksgiving game since the time I rang bells for the Salvation Army.

I am very excited to be spending this Thanksgiving with my family. It looks like there will be a full house. Both of my parents families will be visiting as well and I can't wait to see what new things my dad has done to his land. He and my mom say I wouldn't recognize it! They have been working hard and right now they are in the process of getting the well cleaned up so they have water out there to feed the cows (they plan to add those soon).

I'm hoping to learn how to post pictures, but not too many people see this so I'm still trying to get the word out. Things have been pretty busy!!

Update on us and Welcome

Hello friends and family!!

I have decided to start a blog because we don't live near so many of our closest friends and family members. Hopefully here you can see pictures, read, and just check in on us. It is hard to write about yourself but hopefully Fidel will agree to post a few things here every now and then. I will begin by updating everyone on a few things.

We are so excited about the holidays coming up. We plan to spend our time off from school with friends and family. Fidel probably plans to spend most of his time cycling. He loves it and plans to train for a triathlon (not sure if I spelled that correctly). He is running a relay marathon in December with some of his co-workers and is looking forward to that experience. At this very moment Fidel is in North Carolina, without me. I miss him already and I just dropped him off today. He is at a music conference and I hope he has the best time there.

I am excited to announce that we will be taking a trip this summer. We have not decided where to yet, but I love to travel and hope that we will be able to take one trip a year. We went to Cancun with Allison and Caleb and Vegas with Angie and Ben so far. Hopefully we will be lucky enough to take trips with them again in the near future. This time we are thinking Europe, but I would be so happy going to visit D.C. I grew up there and was able to experience so many different things!!! I want Fidel to see this also!

Anyway, I fear that if I write too much now that there wont be anything else to say later. I hope you visit our site again! Let us know if you have a blogspot so that we can also check in on you. We love and miss our friends and family EVERYWHERE!!!
